Former labor minister, Gordon Brown said that Scotland is being torn apart by child poverty. Squalor and rising deprivation are other things which are working on the same thing. He further added that in most impoverished communities, about 50% of kids are getting affected by poverty which gets slightly better to 40% in other communities. In his talks with the Fife, he added that the situation is shaming the country. He asked both the major political parties in Conservative and SNP to tackle the case efficiently. He said that the situation is creating and dividing into two nation Scotland.
While talking to the Local authority chiefs, he said that 100,000 Scot children could get off their poverty situation for around 950 million pounds. He also said that the government needed to put a stop to a two-child policy.
