The teacher, Arthur Snyder, aged 76, died earlier this week after a crash in Middleton Township.
The crash took place along the State Route 7 on Thursday afternoon.
The district’s Facebook page posted on Friday, which says that his unexpected passing deeply disheartens the community.
Arthur Snyder taught for 35 years at Beaver Local school till his retirement after the 2007-2008 school year. He continued to be a substitute teacher after retiring.
The post read, “Mr. Snyder was a kind-hearted man who would always have a witty comment or joke that would make everyone around him chuckle while one staff member explained him as everyone’s Grandpa here at Beaver Local.”
According to his obituary, Snyder was famous in the area by the name of the “Sno -Kone Man.”
